I can't tell you how I stumbled across this website, but it's link is posted on my iGoogle page and I read it every week - really cracks me up.

Yes, I Know - Long Time No Blog
So much has been going on - I can't even try to catch you all up on it.
Tyler broke his arm in hockey in December, was in a cast for weeks, surgery to put in and take out pins in both forearm bones, is now out of the cast and can resume normal activity (hopefully) on April 1st (no foolin'.)
Stephen and Tiago were SHAFTED in the Cub Scout Father/Son Cake Contest (no I am NOT making that up) They carved the hat out of cake and seriously decorated the cakes all by themselves and walked away with nothing! My little boy was very brave about it and a trip to Toys R Us helped cheer him up quickly.
BUT they redeemed themselves coming in Second in the Pinewood Derby with the Bombay Bomber, also winning the Most Creative car. Never could have happened without Stephen's Pit Crew of The Zizzman and Tommy Mojito. On to Regionals Satursday.
Tiago is busy as always and attending the Baseball Coaches Training session last night - Spring is almost here!
I have a million cakes to post and decieded to cut all my hair off and go red. We'll see how long that lasts.
Hopefully it won't be this long before I post again...

2008 Olympics
Riley celebrated her birthday with an Olympic themes party, so I had to wrack my brain to come up with something impressive! Not a whole lot of Olympic cakes out there to inspire me! The idea for the sugar flames came last minute as I knew I did not have enough time to make them from sugarpaste and rice krispie treats were just not inspiring me. Total DUH moment when I realized that the obvious answer was sugar!
I wish I had taken a picture of the inside of the cake as it was all rainbow colors - I'm sure the girls were surprised when they cut into the cake!

Stephenisms VII
So everyone once in awhile Stephen leaves notes for people. I have found a few around the house, like the one that told me he was up at 4:57 am.
This is the latest one:
I just found it this morning and he is not awake yet - can't WAIT to hear the explanation on THIS one!
At least his spelling and handwriting are coming along nicely....

ChartreuseThumb?
Ok, so maybe I don't have a GREEN thumb, maybe it's only chartreuse. Believe it or not we are getting a few tomatoes on the deck, a poor little pepper and some beans.
Not quite a Victory Garden, but we've had a lot going on over here. Heck if it weren't for Mom who knows if those plants would have made it off the windowsill!

The Cirus is in Town
Comments and Smurfs
If a blogger blogs on Blogger and no one comments...
Does it really make a blog?
Of course all I can think of now is "Smurfette really smurfed that good, didn't she Papa Smurf?"
BTW Happy Smurfday! They turn 50 this year how isa that possible?

My Answer to the $4.00 Latte
Freeze regular coffee in cupcake tins. Have wonderful husband make you a doubleshot of espresso. Place 3 coffee "cupcakes" in a large glass. Add espresso, half and half, maybe even a little shot of a flavored creamer or caramel. Top off with fresh whipped cream - it helps to have a nifty dispenser like this one - just add fresh whipping cream a little sugar and maybe the flavoring of your choice (cheesecake this time) and find the perfect spot to enjoy. Like a newly built wall in your yard (more on that later).
